So the bottom line is... yes using some kind of shampoo and conditioners for colored hair will help prolong the life of your color but this commercial is total false advertisement. Reds are the hardest color to prevent fading in between color services. I know this for fact because I have been coloring my hair red for over 10 years. The girl in the commercial has vibrant red hair that she said she got done 6 weeks prior. Not true because if she had her color done 6 weeks prior she would have had "roots" showing her new growth.
I don't want to get long winded on this but you get what I'm telling you. Most of what they tell you in these commercials and advertisements is a bunch of crap. Don't buy into it because while you might save a buck you aren't getting what you pay for. There are plenty of affordable options that do more of what they say they will do. Yes you can prolong the life of your color but these products don't work miracles so keep your expectations realistic.
how can i get my hair that color in the first place is my question i have dark brown hair ,and i really wnat red highligts throughout my head, but the last time i got them they where so dark they practically blened in whith my hair color so how can i get the girls color hair put in my own so it looks right
ReplyDeleteYou have to pre-lighten or "prep" your hair to be able to get that color if you are dark brown. Depending on how dark you actually are. Is you hair already color treated or in "virgin" condition. All this plays a role in acheiving desired color results. Do me a favor... google natural level color swatches... find the one closest to your natural color and let me know what # it is... look for one that's a #'ed system. Then let me know if your hair is color treated and what # that color falls into. So we need 1. your natural color and 2. your color treated color and then we will go from there. You can acheive this red no problem. Talk to you soon, sorry it took me so long to respond! :)
